Hi everyone! I figured I'd start a thread for UT Arlington's BSN Spring 2020 applicants!
First off let me start by sharing a few things:
- UTA nursing school acceptance is based off a composite system that consists of your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy & Phys 1, Anatomy & Phys 2, Microbiology, Chemistry), OVERALL GPA, and Considerations. ??
- also, TEAS scores don't affect your acceptance into the nursing program, unless you don't meet their requirements of course. ? I'm taking mine this Friday so I'll let y'all know how that goes..
also side note: Considerations depend on wether you're applying to the online or on campus. We can only apply to either or..
As of right now, I have 3 considerations:
- military veteran
- 30 hours at UTA
- 3 out of 4 sciences at UTA
I won't know my official science GPA or overall GPA until after this semester ends....
Waitlisted move up when those accepted don’t meet the deadlines after admission.
If you haven’t gotten your titer for hep B, you better do so ASAP because if you come back not immune, you have to complete the series again and it takes six months to complete. Many students lost their spots for Fall ‘19 because of this
They got accepted a March 9 and complete shot records were due the 25th. Many hadn’t even gotten the titers yet to know. So by the 25th at 8:01am, they lost their place.
If you have to repeat the Heb B series, you still need time to get another titer after completion. Don’t wait another week. Every day is loosing valuable time if the deadline is again two weeks after admission decisions.

yes, u do have a chance, especially if you are partnered with a hospital, but it depends a lot on location - about clinicals, how many ppl are applying, average score etc....I know a girl who was waitlisted for the fall 19 with 7.4 and a cpl of months later was IN. However, I ve heard advisers saying (not to me ) that u ll need at least 8, in order not to worry, but at same time if there are a lot of ppl partnered and 7.5, they might get IN ahead of you, if you have an 8 and not partnered.....its in God's hands....
