UTA Spring 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I figured I'd start a thread for UT Arlington's BSN Spring 2020 applicants!

First off let me start by sharing a few things:

- UTA nursing school acceptance is based off a composite system that consists of your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy & Phys 1, Anatomy & Phys 2, Microbiology, Chemistry), OVERALL GPA, and Considerations. ?‍?

- also, TEAS scores don't affect your acceptance into the nursing program, unless you don't meet their requirements of course. ? I'm taking mine this Friday so I'll let y'all know how that goes..

also side note: Considerations depend on wether you're applying to the online or on campus. We can only apply to either or..

As of right now, I have 3 considerations:

- military veteran

- 30 hours at UTA

- 3 out of 4 sciences at UTA

I won't know my official science GPA or overall GPA until after this semester ends....

Do we have to have the 3 Nursing classes complete before applying to On-Campus?

I have no additional considerations but have 4.0 in science courses and Prerequisites ( taking technical writing this coming fall)

As far as I know you have to have the courses completed before you start the program.

Anyone know if they were accepted with a 6.50+?

I’m not sure but mine is a 6.7.......

Overall 3.2

Science 3.0

Prev Bachelors degree 0.5

Sadly I’ve been a single mom working full time as an LVN (licensed since 2012) while completing school simultaneously, so I’m happy about my GPA, just wished there was a program that looked at the bigger picture. Best of luck to you!

What do you think the chances are for getting into the AO program with a 7.9-8.

I have no considerations.

My score would be like 7 at the most maybe a seven and a half that’s after I take/retake some classes, so I’m applying to Weatherford College (also for financial reasons). It may be a good back up plan for some of you worried you’re to close to the cutoff.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when they're making admission notifications about the Spring 2020 online program?

I do believe second week of September we will start being notified about acceptance into the programs.

I agree. I'm applying to Texas Women's as well.

I say think positive! I'm not sure about the online scores but I do know its tough. a 7.9-8 is a great score. I'm not sure what the average normally is.
