UTA Spring 2020

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I figured I'd start a thread for UT Arlington's BSN Spring 2020 applicants!

First off let me start by sharing a few things:

- UTA nursing school acceptance is based off a composite system that consists of your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy & Phys 1, Anatomy & Phys 2, Microbiology, Chemistry), OVERALL GPA, and Considerations. ?‍?

- also, TEAS scores don't affect your acceptance into the nursing program, unless you don't meet their requirements of course. ? I'm taking mine this Friday so I'll let y'all know how that goes..

also side note: Considerations depend on wether you're applying to the online or on campus. We can only apply to either or..

As of right now, I have 3 considerations:

- military veteran

- 30 hours at UTA

- 3 out of 4 sciences at UTA

I won't know my official science GPA or overall GPA until after this semester ends....

Long story; will elaborate later. But question for you, if I get a positive titer next week, is there a possibility to get in ?

You would have to ask them, but probably not. They are strict with deadlines. Was it Hep B?

MMR; Do you get a notification when they take your spot away ?

@Volleyball

Unfortunately, the deadline is the deadline and they won't make an exception to get any vax or titer done after the deadline. They won't even take a titer done before the deadline and result comes in on the deadline date but 2 hours after deadline time. The deadline was by 8 am and a titer came back at 10 am, was uploaded, they wouldn't accept it. I know someone this happened to.

Don't give up. Go get everything you need asap and reapply for the next cycle.

For anyone who went to Walgreens, did they accept your printout of vaccinations without the physician name?

when I look at the database for my vaccines from a Walgreens it doesn’t show the physician signature

I was given a paper with the pharmacist signature. I will be applying this Fall. Hopefully they will accept that. If memory serves me correct they said on the vaccination video that we could go to a pharmacy for vaccines so they should in theory accept the pharmacies paperwork. I will contact UTA to find out for sure.

They will accept it with Pharmacist signature. I didn't have a name, just the signature and they accepted the vaccines.

The InPlace website is not responding. Anyone has the same problem as me? I don't remember submitting my Tdap record and wanted to check right now but it would not let me log in. I wonder if they dropped my application T^T

Hi,

Are you still having trouble to log in the Inplace website? I am also having the same problem. Why this is happening?

I got an email from one of the advisors saying the dean was asking if I have everything ready to be submitted the other day. I told them I have everything ready except I have to wait 30 days (1 week left) so I can get the Hep B titer. The person hasn't responded and now I'm nervous that if I don't get the Hep B titer in time I will not make the cut. How long do we have until everything needs to be submitted after acceptance? Is it the weekend of or two weeks after acceptance?

Thank you for this. Now I really hope they don't contact me for another week. I wish I didn't respond so soon especially after hearing how everyone got dropped for immunizations ?
