Hey guys did you get the email about the orientation on 7/22 being online now on Microsoft teams? On the canvas portal it said do not go in campus

Yeah I got it

I got accepted to start in august— hows the program so far?

Did y’all register for classes? I did this afternoon.

Yes I sure did. I did the Wed face to face for the first course and the other course was the online 2 "synchronous" on Tuesday at 9:30 something like that

I was trying too but It kept showing as a dynamic class so I didn’t register

Specializes in ICU, ED.

Is there a FB group ? I’ve been searching & don’t see one.

@SarahMoon Awesome! I registered for both online courses - LOL

I don't have any social media but I'm willing to exchange numbers with anyone for future study sessions/networking.

What classes did you enroll in?

Good to know, thanks! I've been anxiously waiting daily wondering if I need to apply to other colleges as well. Have you heard any good feedback about this PMHNP program?

I am a UTA PMHNP grad. UTA graduates have an excellent reputation in the community. For the first year- patho, pharm, theory, role etc. you are grouped with Pediatric/Neonatal NPs, Geriatric NPs, FNPs. For assessment it splits off and you will be grouped with FNPs. They have changed the format of assessment since I graduated: classes are split into adult/pediatric assessment portions with an online simulation. Up until the past couple of years the lab was a couple of times a month over the summary with content integrated across the lifespan. I know dozens of people who changed majors. Just talk with your advisor if you are interested in switching to any of the above mentioned NP specialties.

How was it finding a job after graduation? And finding clinical preceptors? Was it difficult?

Hello! I’m in the pmhnp program that just started! I Would love to get a study group together if anyone is interested! Excited for this journey ?
