Hi ! Starting a thread for the UTA Fall 2020 PMHNP program. I just received my acceptance letter.
Is there a FB group ? I’ve been searching & don’t see one.

I am a UTA PMHNP grad. UTA graduates have an excellent reputation in the community. For the first year- patho, pharm, theory, role etc. you are grouped with Pediatric/Neonatal NPs, Geriatric NPs, FNPs. For assessment it splits off and you will be grouped with FNPs. They have changed the format of assessment since I graduated: classes are split into adult/pediatric assessment portions with an online simulation. Up until the past couple of years the lab was a couple of times a month over the summary with content integrated across the lifespan. I know dozens of people who changed majors. Just talk with your advisor if you are interested in switching to any of the above mentioned NP specialties.

How was it finding a job after graduation? And finding clinical preceptors? Was it difficult?
