Hi everyone, so i decided to go ahead and open up a forum for the 2018 spring start date. I know it might be early but hey everyone including me will have questions and become quite worried on getting in.
Hi All!
I just finishes my application today! Better late than never. I'm hoping to start for spring 2018 but worry I may be put off until fall 2018 after all is said and done. I live in San Antonio and plan to stay here, does anyone know how many spots they have here?
My stats seem so low compared to everyone else! Both of my gpa averages are around 3.0 and my teas score(as per my advisor teas is now going to be accepted instead of hesi for NEW applicants going forward) was an 81.3(new version). I already have a degree in biology so I'm hoping that helps!
Happy I found this thread, I found a different one but couldn't relocate it! Also, from skimming other forums it seems like acceptance letters go out on September. Does anyone know if that is still the case? It seems like such a long time to wait!
oh i got that email back in april from the advising. It was a general email. This where i found it said about September
The result of the upper-division selection process is either: accepted, waitlisted, or denied. Selection process results are sent to your MavMail account according to the following schedule:
Fall admission: Late April
Spring admission: Late September
i wish there was a way to check the status online. this will be a long 3 months.
I applied for fall 2017 and am still on the wait list. Notifications went out at the end of March but those of us that are wait listed can be called up until orientation. This is just a heads up because the waiting seriously gives you anxiety. So be prepared to wait until December for a phone call if you're wait listed.
After being waitlisted twice for online I decided to apply for both online & campus based for Spring. Not sure what I will do if get accepted on-campus, especially with a wife, kids, house, & 4-5 hour commute. After 6 denials overall I'm getting desperate. I can always drag my travel trailer up there and find an RV campground to stay at.

TWU does not look at overall GPA only major GPA. They used to have a worksheet where you could plug everything in and know, but I think it's not on the website now during the new rollout (the website interface changed and they are still finalizing stuff).
