UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

I was accepted to the university in December.....Today's email said "Congratulations on your acceptance to UT Arlington! Your first step as a new online nursing student is to complete an online orientation course."

When it states "NEW ONLINE NURSING STUDENT".....I am unsure if this means I'm accepted or what. I did email my advisor for clarification.

Did you apply for UTHSC Fall cohort? I doubt I'll get in since I was denied for Summer, but I knew I definitely wouldn't get accepted if I didn't apply.

Yes, I was rejected from UTHSC and have yet to hear from UTA obviously. But I chose to accept the TWU spot.

No, it was my second rejection from them, so I was upset. I don't like their lack of organization or transperancy, so I decided it wasn't healthy for me to put myself through that stress again. I made a conscious decision that if my remaining apps (UTA & TWU) didn't work out, that a Direct Entry MSN would be better since it requires GRE scores, personal essays, and reference letters. I thought it would be a more holistic approach. I think my ultimate downfall was a bad semester after the loss of a family member in undergrad, my Nursing grades were stellar, but the quality and challenge of my original program in Neuroscience wasn't being accounted for. I feel as though it's easy to be a 4.0 in a degree like Psychology or English, but my original degree was an integrated major with multiple challenging Physics courses and extensive graduate level translational research. I felt I wasn't being valued appropriately. So I chose not to apply there. I also will not apply there for an advanced degree... I have a very sour taste in my mouth.

Yes I am partnered with HCA (Medical City Dallas).

I just rescinded my application to UTA I was accepted to TWU yesterday. So hooray! one less applicant in the UTA pool.

Hooray! Thank you! I'm very happy for you though for getting accepted!

I am tired of this waiting game. Iam happy for those of you who has gotten acceptance letter from other schools. Good luck to everyone.

I was also told by an advisor yesterday that acceptance letters will be sent out early April. It is taking forever!
