Hello everyone! I wanted to make a thread for those applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the fall of 2014. If you have any insight on what is competitive, or any thoughts you would like to share.. please post! I'd like to hear from others applying! Thanks :)

I applied for the Palestine Campus for Fall 2014. My points added up to 78. The advisor at Palestine acted like I wouldn't have any problems getting accepted. Hopefully she is right. I am having to take Microbiology this semester at TJC so that is one thing that hurt my points, by not being complete with all pre-reqs. I emailed the advisor from palestine last week and she said the emails should be sent around the end of the month. Hopefully that will be this week!

Hey, yall. I'm applying to UT Tyler for Spring 2015. Would I need to take pathophysiology and nursing concepts before applying? Or could I take it the semester before I actually start?

No you don't take those until you get accepted!

pathophysiology and nursing concepts need to be taken this summer if you plan on starting the program in the fall. I have already enrolled. You have to get permission numbers from your adviser before you can enroll. I got the impression that the classes could fill before the end of summer enrollment.

I just spoke to one of the advisors and she said emails will be going out next week. If you are accepted you will get an email with registration codes for patho and nursing concepts. Feels like it's taking forever!

I am applying for spring 2015 not fall 2014. I'm still not really sure how this whole taking patho/nursing concepts if you're accepted works. Because if the deadline for spring is sept 15, that means it rolls over into the fall semester. Will they give out acceptances earlier than the deadline in order to give you time to register for the fall patho and nursing concept classes?

Very confusing.
