UT Tyler Fall 2014

Published

Hello everyone! I wanted to make a thread for those applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the fall of 2014. If you have any insight on what is competitive, or any thoughts you would like to share.. please post! I'd like to hear from others applying! Thanks :)

When I spoke with the adviser at the Longview campus she said that competitiveness depends on the apps they get. Sometimes 72 points is the average and sometimes 78 points is the average. I am at 73.46 but I am finishing my prereq’s and graduating from NTCC this semester. I believe I will be taking Concepts and Patho this summer. The application deadline is quickly approaching and I expect this popularity of this thread to really take off.

If the future posters wouldn't mind, please include your points and what campus you are applying for.

I know math and reading is the only subjects taken into score from the teas for admissions... but do u they let scores from english and science influence them at all?

So I just took my TEAS and had such bad test anxiety. I didn't get to finish the math by a lot so I got a 56% unfortunately. 83% on reading. Now my points are 79.59 ... any insight on if I will still be considered?

@ladeeda - as far as the point system goes the only thing counted from the TEAS is the math and reading. However, If I were the one sorting through apps and I had two people that were close on points and needed a tie breaker, I would use all the info available to me. Including the overall scores.

"64% math score is required to be considered for admission." This is quoted from the UT Tyler website. In your case, I would contact the pre-adviser at the campus you are applying for and get the answer you are looking for.

Have y'all recieved emails yet like they got everything we sent because I have heard nothing

I don't think they send anything unless you are missing something

Does anyone know when we're supposed to get our letters?

]"When will I hear back from the college of nursing regarding my application?"

]"Usually within six-seven weeks after the application deadline via the email written on your application."

So we looking at somewhere around he week of the 29th or the 1st before we hear anything.

Hi everyone! I'm glad I found this thread. I'm really glad I'm not the only one I'm glad everyone has the same concerns as me.

I called today and all the lady told me was i should know sometime after spring break.

Hii!! I hope this thread starts taking off! Yes I have many concerns lol.. trying to stay positive. Are u applying for tyler campus?

Has anyone heard anything yet?!
