Hello everyone! I wanted to make a thread for those applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the fall of 2014. If you have any insight on what is competitive, or any thoughts you would like to share.. please post! I'd like to hear from others applying! Thanks :)

Hey Tyler folks - has anyone already registered or gotten the permission numbers for the two summer classes? If so, are they both online classes?

I was wondering about that too! I think we should be able to register online?

I'm sure we will be able to register online, but you have to get "permission codes" from the counselor in order to do so. I emailed them, but I'm sure that they are still super swamped. Just wondering if anyone had any info.

Y'all are going to take Nursing concepts and Patho, right? Concepts is on-line, Patho is not.

Yes, I believe so. How many days per week is Patho in the summer? Or do you know yet?

Pretty sure its one day a week. Tuesday is what I was told

You are not alone! Longview doesn't have their crap together at all. I must say this has been the worst process I have ever gone through! Sorry for the rant but hopefully something will be sent out soon.....

I got the acceptance letter today via email. There is a lot of paperwork and finding documents that needs to be done. It's a little confusing at first. There is a checklist in the papers, I combined that with a checklist of my own to make sure it all gets done on time.

Hi all! I've been having a hard time deciding if I should move to Tyler. Can anyone paint a picture for me before I visit ? is there anything for 20 something's to do, like nightlife, dating, fun, fun, fun, etc? I love outdoorsy things, like running and hiking... is there any nice parks or trails for this? How's traffic? Anyways, I'd appreciate any advise on the move situation.
