UT Tyler Fall 2014

Hello everyone! I wanted to make a thread for those applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the fall of 2014. If you have any insight on what is competitive, or any thoughts you would like to share.. please post! I'd like to hear from others applying! Thanks :)

Omgoodness! I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!! Did u also apply for the tyler campus? Pple are saying that longview hasn't been notified yet either. If anyone is in the same situation please speak up.

Yes, Tyler was my first and only choice. I'm a transfer, so I really didn't think my chances were that great, but I'd rather just get a "no" at this point than not knowing anything. I figured I would give them a little more time before I tried to email anyone. Maybe only part of the emails went out yesterday?

Well I'm also a transfer..... My guess was bc I put longview as my second choice. I'm going to call them today after work to check my status. I'm not sure whether they send out letters in groups or all at once. How many points did u have if u don't mind me asking?

I honestly don't know the exact figure - they were calculated before I finished a couple of classes. I'm guessing around 75, and my TEAS scores were above average. I really have prepared myself to be turned down, but this waiting business is even worse than that!

Did u apply anywhere else? I also had a feeling that I wasn't going to get accepted bc I'm a transfer. And they consider their students over the transfers. But I haven't lost all hope. Maybe I got in the wait list. Did u check ur spam also? I looked everywhere.

I applied to Longview and I have yet to get an email. I expect it to come later this week. I am sure everyone is eager for this to be over, especially the people at the college. I can only imagine the number of calls and emails they have received so far asking about acceptance. I would hate to be in their shoes. lol
