UT Southwestern GN Internship

Hi All,

Just submitted my application to UT Southwestern's GN internship program beginning in July 2015. Hoping for the critical care or ER track. Has any one else applied? Will they be hiring more applicants this year due to their new facility? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm Still waiting...however, I sat in on an interview yesterday and have examples of how you have overcome obstacles, errors, frustration, and lazy coworkers. what you would do if a patient came in with chest pains, worst headache ever, things like that.

Thank you! I had my interview today. None of those questions were asked. I had 2 patient scenarios and had to prioritize which patient to see first and talk about what I would do in certain situations. Also had several behavioral questions as well.

Interviewed last week for the ED, and was offered a position over the weekend. Has anyone else on here been offered/accepted any positions for the July 2015 cohort? Interested in meeting potential future co-workers! I will be re-locating from East Texas. Best wishes!

I accepted a position in the OR internship Friday! (: I am relocating from West Tennessee. I would love to get to know any future coworkers, since I won't know anyone in the area.

Hi all! I am moving back to Texas after graduating from nursing school in California! I was wondering if UT southwestern is the same thing as Parkland. It looks like parkland memorial is it ut southwestern's hospital, but they have different sites for jobs. Thank you! :)

I'll be in the July 2015 internship cohort for critical care! Currently working in the heart/lung unit at CUH (that unit is actually part of the critical care internship) and am really excited to get started!
