Anyone receive a letter for interviews yet? I hope we all get one!
How many people were in there?
There were about 50 people in there. Each table sat about 5 ...I agree with Renee that you should definitely get to know everyone around you! It was great meeting people going through the same things you were
Man, this thread is getting long. Let's keep this up. haha
I was there on the 15th, and I held up a sign that said, "Allnursing.com Forum Meet-up?" but nobody responded. I was wearing black slacks and a lavender cardigan, if anybody remembers me.
I bullshat my essays, and I can't even really remember what I wrote. I hope that I didn't sound too pompous.
some wore jeans. the proctor thanked people for dressing casually, and really, you could wear shorts and a t-shirt and noone would notice (at least not from the nursing admissions board- since none of them were present). and yes. there will be scratch paper and liquid paper in case you make errors. piece o' cake!
do they provide scratch paper? about how early should i arrive? were a lot of people wearing jeans?
Yah, I wore jeans. Maybe about 10 people did...but then again some others wore dresses/skirts. Like Josh said, you could probably have worn shorts and they wouldn't have cared!
If you're not familiar in the med center/downtown area, you should probably plan to get there 30 minutes before your appointment to get familiar with the surroundings and talk to other people on your table. Parking was my biggest issue really and that wasn't even all that bad...MD Anderson's parking garage is only $4 for the amount of time you'll be there
Good luck!!
i hear philosophy is pretty cool. i took intro to ethics instead of philo. someone told me the reading would be less archaic (and they were seemingly correct).
I found philosophy really boring. Easy A though. All we had to do was listen in class and we'd get it. It is definately one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. So is stats...alot easier than College Algebra...imho anyways...good luck to all of you

You'll do great! Trust me. Just manage your hour well and use the scratch paper before you commit to writing in the spaces provided. It really helped to get there ahead of time and get to know everyone around you and relax.
Good luck!!!
