  1. CANDO is an optional month long activity in June where students can learn to be better prepared for the program this fall. I kind of see it as an internship. It's during the month of June (5-28) Tu-Th, and in the end the participants receive a stipend of $250. However, they only choose 7 students each from UT, TWU, and PV and are chosen from certain criteria such as financial need, minorities, first generation college student, etc.
  2. wow. this thread is almost 20 pages long. i just wanted to say that. bye!
  3. yup! i am too. anyone sign up for the CANDO program?
  4. congrats!!!!! do the white shoes have to be leather material? or can they be the normal cloth material like in most tennis shoes?
  5. i heard about those! but I also heard it was tough getting a spot there...popular choice for students I guess. I'm going to be staying at the Lanesborough and the location is great bc you can literally walk for 15 minutes and be at school...and the TMC Campus Trolley (which I hear is free for UT students??) is right in front of the complex. That has got to be a huge deciding factor for me...because the parking price is ridiculous!
  6. ok exactly when are they going to mail us about registration or some orientation we should be attending for more info about buying books, scrubs, classes, etc.? Because TWU already had theres like yesterday...and well we haven't really had much more communication with UT other than our acceptance packets.
  7. if you sent in your acceptance, your UT Link updates! just wanted to inform yall...haha. Underneath the status link where it says you've been admitted to the program, it also says this: "Confirmation has been received from you that you plan to enroll." and also the holds go away too because my CPR one is gone...i dont know why my admissions and immunizations haven't gone away though because I faxed those in at the same time...but oh well I'll give it until next week until I bug them about it! have a great weekend, yall!
  8. are the UT scrubs still navy blue? i heard they changed it...but i'm really hoping that was just a rumor!
  9. yayyy! i got mine too! i guess i should probably call TWU and tell them I"m not going to their school anymore haha. yay everyone!
  10. yah, for the majority of us they've already changed.
  11. waaaahh i didn't get mine yet...i hope i get it tomorrow! congrats!
  12. haha! looks like you're younger than me. I turn 20 in June. =) and on another note...does anyone know of any good apartments in the med center??

  14. yah, yall are right. I'm just being super paranoid. I'd just really like the actual letter before I turn down a great school like TWU.
