UT Houston 2011 summer accelerated program

Published

Hey guys,

Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?

I have a nursing gpa of 3.38, only a 3.2 for science and I made a 89.92% on the hesi with a 960/1000 for the critical thinking portion.. I don't have the BEST credentials but I still think I can be competitive. I have a friend who had a lower nursing gpa and hesi score and she got in to their reg. 2 year program instead of the accelerated one and she didn't really want to get in and be a nurse as much as I do.... So I have no idea what to think...

Thanks carbon, good luck to you too!

Brandig07 - that is the highest critical thinking score I've seen posted. You should feel very good about your stats. I think a lot of people have been scoring in the high 800s for critical thinking.

From what I've read, it seems like everyone is pretty much on equal ground once you get into the interview phase, so even though some people feel like their stats aren't as high, I really don't think anyone should worry. Of course, that does add some additional pressure to do well in the interview :-)

The highest critical thinking I've seen, too! I think mine was 860 but not exactly sure since it's not on the paper with the other info.

I think you're right, whitfield. We should all be on the same level at this phase which is why I think the interview is so important. You want the interviewer to remember you so they'll talk you up to the board. :)

Thanks for the boost in confidence guys! I think you guys are right, I logged in to evolve and it looks like the average score of the people who took it with me was 805. I guess I did well on it because I am a very analytical thinker and I take standardized tests well.

I hope my nerves don't make me do poorly in the interview!

Oh neat! I never logged into evolve before...it only says the class average and no other info. :( Am I missing this info somewhere?

When I login to Evolve, I click my testing and remediation, then I see my test. From there I click the + next to Admission Assesment Report and it expands to show each setion, how you did, and the class average for who you took it with. It took me a few logins to stumble upon it.

Thank you...found it :)

Anybody interviewing Feb. 8th at 8:00 am? Starting to get really nervous!

Hey carbon_13...my interview is tomorrow, Feb 8 at 8 am too! I am suuuuuper nervous too!!
