Hey guys,
Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?
I think with past classes they took about 80, if I remember correctly from other feeds. I am glad that the will consider us for the fall too, but I haven't figured out if that will be readable for me since we own a home here in College Station and I have a two year old, but hopefully it all works out!
Just wanted to pass this along. I just spoke with the BSN counselor. She said they would send out acceptance or denial letters on the 15th of April. She also said that not everyone who gets in is required to do an interview, it is depended on what the committee decides. This was news to me. I was unaware you could be accepted without interviewing. Don't know if this makes me fee better or worse, since I still have not heard from the school. Guess I will hurry up an wait.
April 15th? Are you sure? I was hoping/assuming we would know much sooner than that for accelerated. That is only 6 weeks before the program starts! That really worries me. It will take me at least 4 weeks to transition out of my current job, plus I will need to move to Houston.
What is your first degree in if you don't mind me asking?
Sorry, I just saw that you asked. My fist degree is in of all things, Philosohy. Originally I didn't know if I was going to go the medical or law route and in my final semester @ Tamu decided law, against my gut. I got in to South Texas College of Law in Houston and seriously 2 weeks before school started I withdrew. My heart wasn't in it! The thought of being a lawyer didnt excite me. The thought of being a nurse practioner on day does!

Maybe because they changed the format to being 4 semester instead of 3? I also applied to the UTA academic partnership program, which has online nursing courses and you can do clincals in Houston. The problem is I haven't talked to anyone who has done the program so I don't know what to think about it.
I applied for the tamu program here in cs and didn't get in, but then again they only took about 22 people for their College Station program. So I am really nervous!
