UT Houston 2011 summer accelerated program

Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?

here is the response i received from someone in the coordinating office...

in february the school is beginning the interview process for students applying to the summer admission class. watch your mail for your assigned interview time if you are going to have an interview. these letters will come out over a series of weeks so please be patient.

Hey guys, I just got an e-mail today stating my interview date and time. Check your e-mail that you entered on your application. We will prob get a letter in the mail too. Good luck to you all!!

Hey thanks for letting us know. They just processed my last transcript that I sent so I am wondering if it will take some time. I saw on another board from previos application cycles that they sent out invites for interviews over the course of 2 months, so no one get discouraged if you don't have one yet.

Did anything in your ut link change?

Brandig07...if they just processed your last transcript, yea, it might take a little while. From other threads last year, it sounded like they may have sent the invites out alphabetically, so just be patient. No, nothing changed on my UTLink either. Good luck, I hope they contact you soon! Congrats to everyone who got an interview! I know I am super nervous too!!

Thanks Bethalizz! I know I should get an interview, since my GPA's are well above the minimum requirement, I rocked the HESI and I am completely done with all of my pre-reqs..... but you always have that little nagging doubt.

I will tell people to make sure that you follow up on anything you send them because I had to call and check on my transcript I sent last month, and found out that they "misplaced" it. They didn't have my gpa updated nor did they have the statistics course that I just finished entered in. So if your UT Link is showing something funny, def. check on it! Good luck everyone!

Hello All,

I just registered here on allnurses looking for others who are experiencing the same waiting game with UT. I also applied to the summer 2011 Accelerated program. I am still waiting to here from them!!! Looks like letters are starting to show up, so I guess I will keep checking the mailbox every ten minutes like I have been all week. Does anyone know if they sent letters of regret? I need to find a job asap if nursing school is not in my immediate future!!
