UT Houston 2011 summer accelerated program

Hey guys,

Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?

Hopefully the packet they send us will clear it up or someone will call and really find out.

If I recall, the letter we got said they were just adding the semester, so if they did take away the online courses, that is kinda messed up.

Brandi -- go check out the updated curriculum for the accelerated program. It looks like there are only 3 courses online now....

Hey guys,

Congratulations to everyone!!!! I'm soooo excited:) Thanks to those of you who called and updated us on the generic thing, I haven't been able to get through but my term says Summer 2011, so I'm gonna assume it's the Accelerated program.

Here's what I know about changes to the program...My interviewer showed me a sample schedule...actually the one they gave us downstairs...and we discussed it...I asked why it showed that we would be on campus everyday (almost) and she said becuase it had changed. She didn't know all the specific details but said we WOULD be required to be on campus more and that some of the professors for some on the classes (didn't say which ones or how many) would broadcast lectures online and we had the option to watch them that way...or we could attend the class in person. However...the point of her bringing that up was to ask if I would be available to be on campus at least 3 or 4 days out of the week...So anyway...??

Nursing prereqs 3.54

Science 3.75

Undergrad 3.566

Hesi overall 90

BS from UHD

MA from SHSU

I did most of my prereqs at Lonestar and a few at HCC

Nursing prereqs: 3.56

Science: 3.88

HESI: 92% overall

My first degree is a BS in Chemistry from SHSU.

and....anybody heard of someone getting in with not such high stats?

Mine arent that great. My nursing us 3.38, science is 3.2 and Hesi is 89.92% with 960/1000 for critical thinking, but I got in! Even after I cried in my interview like a crazy person!

Has anyone's status not changed yet? Mine still says, "Pending status will be updated upon admissions committee decision." First thing this morning nothing had changed, then around lunch time my Holds changed and I now have 5 instead of 2. But my stutus under Admissions hasn't changed. I don't know if that means I didn't get in or not, but the suspense is killing me! What is meant to be will be, but I just want to know. I keep checking every 5 minutes, so hopefully I'll know either way soon. Congratulations to all of you that have already been accepted!!!

Kayce - not everyone who was admitted to the Spring 2011 class found out on the same day. It seems like UTLink was updated in waves... so, keep checking! It might be tomorrow before your status changes, but having more holds is a great sign!

Kayce--my holds changed yesterday but my status changed this morning. I think it's a good sign your holds changed. :)
