UT Houston 2011 summer accelerated program

Hey guys,

Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?

OK Guys I called the SON this morning to clear it up. If you only applied to the accelerated like me and it says Generic Program, it is the accelerated program. (She looked it up for me). Since it is four semesters it is I guess they are calling it "generic" rather than accelerated since we are taking the same course load as the generic, just starting in May.

I was also informed that all the web based classes are no longer. My interviewer failed to let me know that when I was there. Am I the ONLY person who didn't know that?

Hi guys,

Could you please post your stats (gpa -- science & prereqs, hesi scores) just so that I can get an idea of what they're looking for? I applied to the generic program, by the way.

Yeah I am still not sure about what courses are online and what aren't, that throws a major wrench in my ability to go to UT Houston, so I don't know what will happen. I don't remember checking the consider me for the fall box... but I might have.

The lady told me, "I only see one application for you, and it is for accelerated so that is what you got in to."

If you have questions, call them! you can get to a real person by using the number to the student affairs office, but change up the last two digits to 04, 05 or 06.

Thanks Brandig07! - I just talked to the school. I got into the accelerated May program! My status says accepted for "BSN IN GENERIC NURSING" for the Summer 2011 term, but it is for the accelerated May program!

I also got in....just an FYI to those that already know they got in....Yes it does say BSN Generic but if the term is under Summer then it is for accelerated...they changed it from 3 to 4 semesters...I just called to verify that I would start in May and I will ...Woo Hoo

i called too. as long as it says you're accepted it doesn't matter that it says generic. you need to look at what term you're under

Carbon 13: That is what I was wondering too. My interviewer told me that the program was exactly the same, but was added on to in length.

When I called the SON, she said there were no courses online for the accelerated now. The letter we got only said they added a semester.

Other people say there will be SOME courses online...

I think we need to clear up the confusion! Who wants to call the SON? lol

Brandi -- my interviewer told me the same, too. I sure hope they are still online. It will save us lots of gas/parking money...
