UT Houston 2011 summer accelerated program

Hey guys,

Just wanted to reach out to those applying for the summer 2011 semester. Does anybody know when we should be expecting interview letters?

Have you finished all of your prerequisites? If you have, that may be why you don't have an admission hold.

Beth is right, if you have some outstanding prereqs, your acceptance is contingent you you completing them with a C or better. That's what I was told in my interview.

BSN IN GENERIC NURSING

You have been granted provisional admission. Admission letter in the mail.

It definitely said Accelerated BSN in Nursing last night. Does this mean I'm in the Fall class or the May class?

I see that same admissions information for both the "Summer 2011" and the "Fall 2011" drop down on the Admissions page.

Hi guys, I applied to the generic program and was wondering what your stats are (for the ones who have gotten accepted), gpa, science, prereqs, university attended, etc

I got into the accelerated program!!! I also got accpeted to the accelerated program at TCU!! now i just have to figure out which one i want to go to! TCU is soooo expensive but i wouldn't have to move in order to go!! anyone else get in other places??

OK Guys I called the SON this morning to clear it up. If you only applied to the accelerated like me and it says Generic Program, it is the accelerated program. (She looked it up for me). Since it is four semesters it is I guess they are calling it "generic" rather than accelerated since we are taking the same course load as the generic, just starting in May.

I was also informed that all the web based classes are no longer. My interviewer failed to let me know that when I was there. Am I the ONLY person who didn't know that?

Thanks Brandig07! That's interesting - I knew that MOST of the classes were now in-person (just like the Generic program), but I too thought that at least a couple of the classes were online.

I applied to the accelerated program, but I checked the "please consider me for the fall program if I don't get into accelerated" option. But it sounds like my acceptance is for accelerated!
