UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

Published

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

OH SICK

"You have been granted provisional admission. Admission letter in the mail. "

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Mine hasn't changed yet :/ do you think they do it all at once? Geez this is stressful.

Mine hasn't replied yet either...so don't worry.

I called and asked if I should wait a little longer on updating or if they were through updating..she said they had to update 800 statuses so they're definetely not done yet and not to be discouraged.

THanks fudgebrownie. That's a relief. Did they say they would be finished today? Or would t take them longer.

Hi! I am new to this forum but I have been following it for months and it has helped a lot with answering a bunch of questions I have had. I looked this morning and my status hasn't changed on UTlink either so then I called...the admission coordinator I spoke with said that isn't a bad sign that it takes a long time to update 800 applicants utlink status. She said not to worry that the official letter that is going out is the only thing that we need to really worry about. Also I have noticed on past threads that people who are getting accepted to the accelerated program usually get their status updated a few days before the tranditional BSN program. Is it possible for you guys who do get your status updated to say which program you applied to so we can have an idea when to maybe check our status again? For the ones who have already been accepted CONGRATULATIONS! I know all of you worked hard and I KNOW this is a GREAT day for you! Good luck to everyone else.

They were not admittig for the accelerated program in the spring. So everyone should just be traditional.

I applied for Traditional, I believe bri is correct, that there are no accellerated applicants in here

Mine still says pending...for the person who got anupdate would you also post your stats for us? Like your NET, GPA, previous med experience or degree. It gives us a point of reference....and could everyone else who's status changed do that as well? Thank you....My heart was racing and my hands were shaking when I clicked on it.

also for the person who got in what letter does your last name start with

NET: 87

Overall GPA 4.0

Sciences GPA 4.0

48/60 prereqs completed

I have BCLS, ACLS, EMT-B, and an LVN license. 8 months med/surg, 15 months ICU, 3 months PACU, + a few shifts in nursing homes from Nursefinders.

Best of luck to everyone!

Well, I'm really happy to see that you are not beginning of alphabet, otherwise I think I'd be in trouble! Mine hasn't changed yet...

I don't think I am going to get anything accomplished today now that I'll be stalking my UT Link!

Congrats to those whose status has changed and good luck to those who are still waiting!

And just for reference, my creds are:

Science GPA: 3.88

Nursing Prereq: 3.82

About a year experience working in the ER, volunteer work done in St. Jude's Children's ward and nursing homes and other smallish things...
