UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

Hi everyone! I had a question for you guys. Im currently at hbu and took some science classes there. I really want to take 2 science classes this summer at HCC but the since its my core subjects to get in. Some people told me not to take those classes there bc its HCC, and the board is going to wonder why i didnt take them at HBU. Im really worried because i have only taken 1 science class but have all my other pre req already i just need the science courses. PLease help me!!! its like 5k for only 2 classes at hbu!!!

What do you guys reccomend do you think it will effect my admission to UT??:uhoh21:

Miss pink do you have to take the HESI test for utmb because i didnt see that as a req?

Also did you take pathophysiology class requirement for UTMB?? I was trying to take it at HBU and they told me i have to take all these crazy pre reqs for that class!! so that is the only class that is holding me back from aplying because i dont know that many schools that are offering that course.

Rothenurse01, I am not sure about your situation, but I know of several students from U of H and TSU who take some classes at HCC, and have not had a problem with it. I think it is cost effective and smart. I don't think trying to save money by taking an equivalent course at HCC should be a problem. But you might want to talk to your counselors at HBU to see what the pros and cons are.

Hi Rothen nurse, I am actually take the Hesi Test for UTA and I am taking patho and pharm Fall semester at UTA bc they require it before you are even in the nursing program. The pre reqs you have to take it before you can even register for the class at UTA is you have to complete A&P I&II and chem.

Kimmy...did you go to the UTMB open house today? There was someone there that was from A and M and graduating in December as well. Just wondering? ) FYI to all interested in applying to UTMB, you should really attend one of their Open Houses. It was really informative and everyone there asked really helpful questions. )

No, I was not at the UTMB open house on the 9th...i was home that weekend though. nursetobe, are you applying UTMB's summer 2010 program? was that the generic...or accelerated....i'm forgetting which one's which...all i know is that UT-H & TWU are due Sep. 1st and UTMB is due October 15. haha...

BTW: i'm officially DONE with anatomy I & II (aka...i got my grade back for A&P II) YESSSS!! such a relief!!

i am also a UT spring 2010 hopeful.i am applying to twu,utmb,pv,etc.i am taking the national net in may(next week) and taking hesi A2 for twu in june.my science gpa is 4.0 but my overall is 3.9. i am also eager to start my applications but i am applying at the end of summer so that i can have more classes to apply

misspink86,have you taken the hesi for twu?if no,when do you plan taking it?because applicants are suppose to take the test before applying.

Im scheduled to take it May 30th, and then after I finish my summer I class I will be sending in my application before july 15th. What nursing school is your # 1 choice? I am so confused on which one I really want to get accepted to. I like UT Houston bc you can finish in a year bc it takes advantage of the summer but with UTA and TWU I have no idea.
