Anyone here applied already?

Have you taken the NET exam?

If u don't mind sharing what were your stats?

I might be on the extreme end. I'm prior service military, medic with a nursing identifier. I am LVN licensed, EMT-B licensed, ACLS qualified and have a little over 2 years of experience under my belt. I did my prereqs at HCC and came out with a 4.0. I think I scored a 76 on the reading comprehension, 100 on th math.

Please don't be discouraged as I think I am the only LVN in our student body. However I can say that if you have a Bachelor's already, you prob have a much higher chance for acceptance. I think more than half our student body have bachelor's in something.

Reading back, I noticed a lot of drama going on. Guys, it's not worth it. If anything, it only gets worse when school starts and you really get to find out about people's personalities.

I have a quick question. What courses are used to calculate your science GPA? I know it's A&P I and II and Micro and I'm thinking the Chem but do they use the Nurition course? One campus I am wanting to take it at the class is BIOL 1322 and the other it is HECO 1322.

Nutrition doesn't go towards your science GPA just nursing pre-reqs

A&P I,II, Chemistry, Microbiology are counted towards Science GPA. I took Nutrition at Lonestar and it was Bio1322.

The summer program applicants are starting to receive their acceptance letters now. Hopefully that means that we will know our status soon too.

hi! i wasnt able to apply because i still need 2 pre reqs... Im 21 years old and im a medical assistant. i would love to become a nurse.. do yall think im too young to apply? i dont wanna get rejected because of my age :confused:

No, I don't think it's really how old you are. If you have everything in order it shouldn't be a problem. I think they are more focused on the level of maturity and responsibility not physical age.

I'm 19 years old and have 2 pre. Req to finish and I still got an interview

Idk yet dee. I will know in about another week or 2. It's nerve racking LOL I'm practically bald already. I'm very confident about my interview, I was myself and walked out with no regrets about whatbi said. I hope you consider applying for spring 2011. Don't age or unfinished prereqs stop you. You never know
