I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.
My name is Edera,
I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.
Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!!
Well I think you did great and I honestly wouldn't even stress it. I've done plenty of research on these past forums and it doesn't seem like perfect scores will guarantee your acceptance. I hope that makes you feel slightly better. My grade was similar to yours and I felt the same but I changed my mentality and decided that if it's meant to be then I'll get in. If not there's always next semester. :)
I am also applying to UT Health for the Spring.
My stats are:
Nursing GPA: 3.8
Overall GPA 3.8
Science GPA: 4.0
HESI: 91 overall
I scored an 82 in reading comprehension. However, on the 'conclusions' section of reading comprehension I scored a 67. Does anyone know if this score matters or why reading comprehension is broken down into sections on my score sheet ad the other subjects are not?

They don't look at the scores for the subdivisions, only the overall and the individual for each section. I had the same problem with 'conclusions'.
Hello!
I have started my application for Spring 2019 as well! Nice to meet you all!
I'm planning to retake my HESI at the end of August due to reading previous posts and the ridiculously high grades everyone has made. I have high Bs and two As in the sections and I don't like it one bit!
Anyway, I noticed on the webinar page it says the application deadline is September 15, but on the application pages it says September 1. Has anyone gotten any clarification on this?
Hey guys!I was wondering if any of you were going to go ahead and get a head start on immunizations or if you were going to wait until you were accepted? I'm not sure how long the process is going to take and when I need to get started. TIA
I've gone ahead and got all of my immunizations completed, the Hep B series can take a bit if you need it but mostly because I'm also applying for other programs & they require conpletetion at the time of submitting the application.
Hello! I am also applying to the BSN Spring 2019 program at UT. I was wondering if any of you would share what your GPA/ Hesi scores have been? I just realized my GPA is not as high as I was thinking it was and now I am wondering if it was pointless. When you say Science GPA which courses are you referring to? Just the ones that UT has listed as the pre-reqs? Micro, Chem, AP1, AP2? What about cumulative GPA? Are they just looking at average GPA for the 60 hours of pre-reqs listed or overall (I have taken other classes that aren't listed on their list)?
Does anyone know how many have applied so far? How many are they accepting? Does anyone know what the averages are to truly be considered competitive? I know their website lists the min requirements but we all know that doesn't make you competitive!
For Science I have a 3.5 GPA... (A for AP1, A for AP2, A for Micro, but a C in Chem, ugh!!)
Hesi- I made a 92 overall. I had a 92 in each section.. no idea how I did that!!
As far as cumulative GPA.. I am not sure because I don't know if that includes all of my classes or just the other pre-reqs that they mention on their site?
Does anyone know how they rate their applicants? I know HCC has a rubric they use that factors in Hesi scores with GPA etc to give you a final point out of 104. Was wondering if UT does anything similar?
Thank you to all and good luck!!

they'll accept Phil 301, 312, 318. That's what it says on the website for students from UT Austin
