I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.
My name is Edera,
I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.
Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!!

Hi Edera! Nice to meet you! I'm also interested in applying for Spring 2019 in UT Health. I'm planning on taking my Hesi soon while taking microbiology and statistics over the summer. I have english, philosophy, sociology, government, and art left to take in my Fall 2018 semester. I'm currently in community college right now so i'm trying to finish up my remaining pre-reqs.
I've been studying for Hesi and this app I found called Hesi A2 Pocket Prep has been helping me out alot, so hopefully it helps you out if you want to try it too!
Good luck in studying for Hesi and taking all those classes.
You got this! :)

Hi yall! I'll be applying for Summer 2019, but it's a bit too early to start a post yet lol.
I took the HESI back in March and my scores were:
Cumulative: 92.4
A&P: 100
Vocab: 98
Math: 90
Grammar: 90
Reading Comp: 84
I used the Hesi Pocket Prep app, the Hesi Admission Assessment Exam Review book by Elsevier (4th edition), a Hesi Facebook study group, and my notes from A&P 1 and the first 2 months of the A&P 2 class I was currently enrolled in. I also watched every "How I studied for the Hesi" video I could find on YouTube.

Hey everybody!
I plan to apply for the Spring 2019 cohort in Houston, well technically I've started the application process, just waiting to finish a few courses to complete my two associates this summer before sending in my transcripts. I am also applying to Lonestar's ADN program & Sam Houston State, I figure I have better chance with the more darts I throw out there.
I took my HESI back in March with an overall of a 93 and I have a 4.0 GPA, so I'm hoping that helps my chances but I guess we'll see!
I wish the best of luck to all of us and look forward to hopefully celebrating some good news later this year!!
Webinar dates are up on their website. I RSVPd for the June 15th date!
I also RSVP'd for that date! ☺ï¸
I'm sure I'll know most of what they say since I've read so many past forums lol, but it'll still be nice to be in touch.
Haha. That's how I feel, who knows maybe some unknown tidbit of information will come out of it. I only wish I could attend an in person information session but this is better than nothing.
I might be able to go to one, just depends on the day. Hopefully they'll put the dates up up soon.
Your GPA is stellar! Is that in nursing prereqs or overall?
We don't live in the area yet so I'm still doing everything from a distance.
Thank you! That is my overall GPA to include nursing prereqs.
I'm not getting ahead of myself though just because from the past threads I've read entry can be a bit of a craps shoot for lack of a better word to ensure diversity among students. I read where people with much lower scores were admitted when people with near perfect GPA & HESI scores were not, hence my multiple applications to other programs. I'm just so nervous, I want to start school so badly already!

I've been waiting for this thread to pop up!!! I was sooo wishy washy on whether or not to apply at UTH. I just don't know if it's right for me. After this summer I will only have 3 classes remaining in the fall to be done with all the pre reqs required. I already took my HESI and made a 90%.... I decided that I may just apply at lonestar. I'm in micro right now and I'm struggling because it's a lot of info in a short amount of time, and that would be fine and dandy if I wasn't married with 3 kids involved in activities (plus I work). I just hate the feeling that I have now! At UTH I think you take about 6 classes at a time right? That seems like a lot for me since I have a lot on my plate already. What is your first choice at lonestar?? Cy fair or Kingwood?
Never mind lol! You are on the lonestar post too!!! I just went and looked :)
