  1. I know I hate not knowing and just waiting that's why I don't want to sit around and wait for them again. Especially if there's no way of actually knowing our chances of getting in.
  2. Did you apply to UT for the Spring 2019 semester? I'm still waiting to hear back my account says under review still. I honestly don't feel like waiting another semester either. I applied to Chamberlain and WGU I like chamberlain because it's 5mins from my house but I like that WGU offers online courses and it's much cheaper. I shall see which one I decide to go with.
  3. Yea your right I really don't know what to think because I've honestly never met anyone that has gone to Chamberlain. I guess it depends on who the recruiter is. Thanks for the helpful information.
  4. So I just spoke to the nursing recruiter that I currently babysit for and she said whatever you do to stay away from Chamberlain because recruiters don't want to hire them. So definitely stay away if you can. She said for some reason hospitals love WGU nurses and of course students that attend brick and mortar schools. For anyone that doesn't know about WGU it's fully online and they are affiliated with medical center hospitals for clinicals. Also the total cost is about $12,000 and you can start at anytime during the year.

  6. I went ahead and applied to UT, Chamberlain and WGU. Your right it all depends on the individual good thing I'm staying home right now with my baby so I think I'll be able to tackle online classes. I was also able to get my application fee waived for WGU and Chamberlain. Thanks for the heads up I was so happy to save money on the application fee.
  7. Oh okay I started the application but I haven't submitted it. I'll do it tonight. I just recently applied to UT and I haven't heard anything back. I don't want to hold my breath on that so I want to have my plan b and c ready. Yes it's a good school I currently car for two children and there mom is a nursing recruiter and she's currently attending WGU. So it has to be good I'm going to talk to her tomorrow to see what other schools she recommends. Yes I pretty much got all the prereqs done. Well mostly everything that UT asked for.
  8. Thanks so much for all the great information I will definitely be applying now. How did you meet with the advisor did you make an appointment and did they help you apply there?? Have you taken the HESI before I have but I wasn't required to take biology, chemistry, personality or learning styles. That's not bad that we need at 73 but I think the higher the better. Also are you applying anywhere else I'm also looking at WGU.
  9. Thanks for your input. I'm going to inquire and see what would transfer and the ballpark price of how much it would cost. I'm also going to speak to mother of the child that I currently care for. I know it isn't coincidence that she turned out to be a nursing recruiter so I'm going to get her input of how she feels in regards to hiring grads from Chamberlain or another school such as WGU. I'll be sure to update you guys. I know she's worked for major hospitals.
  10. I feel you. I created a forum for chamberlain and someone replied with this information in case you haven't spoken to someone from there. The meeting with the advisor went great! I suggest that you should apply to this school, she seemed very knowledgable about everything and answered all my questions. I will be taking my HESI next Friday. If you apply before next Monday, I believe, you get your application fee waived as well as your HESI exam fee waived. So my application and HESI test is now free! The parts of the HESI that we would be taking includes reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, math, anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, personality profile, and lastly learning styles. You need to obtain a 73 as your overall score to get considered an admission.
  11. Out of curiosity would anybody consider Chamberlain since they are still taking applications for the Spring? I'm so anxious to get my nursing degree already that I'm considering it but idk if it'll be worth it. I do know it's more expensive but does anyone know of someone that has actually gone there?
  12. Thanks, where do I go to sign up?
  13. Hi there. Please tell us how it goes? What parts of the HESI did you take?
  14. I wonder why I haven't gotten any of those emails. :/
  15. Yes I only applied there since i had completed everything for that school. Let me know how it goes when you do apply. I will be sure to update you as well.
