UT Health Pacesetter Spring 2019

Published

I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.

My name is Edera,

I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.

Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!! xhappy2.png.pagespeed.ic.zjIVMhQq4z.webp

The applicants last year received acceptances the last Thursday of October. And the applicants 2 years ago found out the second to last Thursday of October. So I think we should expect to wait 2-3 more weeks for acceptances!! I am getting so impatient..

I'm REALLY hoping the results follow the same trend of starting to come in October, that's what I've been holding out for since reading through the past forums! :nailbiting:

The two other programs I applied to this year have gone longer than all of the cohorts in the past so I'm almost expecting the same with UTH just because that's my luck, lol.

I actually took the winter minimester in Spring 2018 to get my nutrition requirement out of the way. That was at Lone Star college. It was an online class that lasted three weeks. It was not bad at all! I would totally recommend it.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to do that bc if I have to sit through another 8-16 week basic pre req, I'm going to rip my hair out lol

I feel like I'm past the point of anxiety, I'm just numb at this point LOL

I've been counting Thursdays as well! Nice to know I'm not crazy haha

Am I the only one who hasnt received an evaluation? /:

No, I have not received one either..

I haven't received one either

I haven't received mine either. I've tried calling them several times to ask about it, but either no one picks up or I'm redirected to someone who doesn't answer their phone.

I just talked to them earlier. The first person that answered said I can ask to see if my evaluation can be sent out sooner than planned, but when I was transferred to the person in charge of the transcript evaluations for our program she said I have to wait my turn patiently. (so not all evaluations have been sent out)

I just received my evaluation today.

I took ENGL 1010 20+ years ago for my first bachelor's degree. It was a 6 credit writing class. Unfortunately, my UTH evaluation says this only satisfies 3 credit hours. I don't know if this is a mistake or if they aren't accepting the entire 6 credits for some reason. Really hoping this was an oversight.
