UT Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hello Everyone!!

It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?

I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.

I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

Maan, it s not silly, better safe than wasting time with returning shoes because some teacher has "problem" with them. I personally don't see what s the point of ALL black or white to begin with or "covering tattoos" ...I don't have tattoos but still - it s 2020 - who gives a *** about tattoos, as long as they are not gang tats or something racists...

Have you guys bought scrubs already? I got these. They are nice and stretchy and loaded with pockets. I'm gonna have pockets like a kangaroo!

Then just read what they tell you to get. Again, the Pumas are fine as well as the new balance. They are practically the same shoe and all leather.

Yes someone mentioned it. But the pumas are fine. I have them. I bought them on the recommendation of three other students who are in senior one right now. They are all black all leather and are great shoes. They are running shoes but are very comfy.

Running shoes are very comfortable in general, you can also put some padding inside made for people whose ob requires a lot of standing up and walking....

They are well padded. I have flat feet and I jog in them. No issues

Damn dude, $24 for a top only? I got mine for like $13 a piece. I got 4 because I think I d need more than one (but I forgot that we won't be in the clinicals every day..oh well). If I get sweaty , I can go and change during break...

I figured I might as well buy nice scrubs now that I could use in the future for work. The scrubs I bought wash well and don't fade over time. I plan on sewing the patch on my scrubs instead of using the adhesive so I could remove it later. The scrubs are going up in price. I bought the shirts for 18 and change several months ago.

Yeah cherokee is a good brand. I here a lot of nurses and medical students say good thing about cherokee. I follow one nurse on Youtube and he has had a pair of cherokees for more than a decade and they still look good. Can't really go wrong with cherokee scrubs.

They are really comfy

Y’all better get used to the nit picking over silly things, because the entire nursing program is them nit picking over silly things.
