UT AE-MSN 2019

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a new thread for people applying to UT Austin's 2019 AE-MSN program, so I figured I'd start one :) I haven't had any correspondence from the school since submitting final material on October 1st. Anyone hear anything back from the school yet??

Applied for the PMHNP program and just received an invite to interview on Dec 13th at 8:00am! Good luck to all :)

The email I got says it will be in-person at the UT School of Nursing Building and the format is: group information session and panel Q&A, writing response, and individual interview with faculty member. She said it should take around 3 hours!

I found out yesterday evening that I have an interview! I'm an out-of-state applicant, and there's an option to do the interview online. I applied to the PMHNP program.

Hello!

I am new to this thread but have been following for quite sometime time. I applied to the PMHNP program and got an interview yesterday. I will be attending Dec 13th at 8am. Does any one have an idea as to how the interviews are formatted and what they ask for in the writing response portion?

Congrats on the interview mibarr03 I will be there at the same time as you! I read in past threads the written portion is where you give an informed answer on an issue within the field. Years ago someone posted their question was about the ethics of giving psychiatric drugs to children or something of that nature. I think we go in and do a q&a session then some go back for their face to face interview while the rest complete the written portion and then the groups switch. That is what I understand from the years prior and so far the timeline of everything has been quite close to past years so I believe it will be similar than what others have said. I got an email saying that I wouldn't be considered for the PMHNP program any longer. The email was brief and I did not receive an interview invitation. I was surprised to be honest- I was hoping for at least an interview. My GPA and GRE scores are high, and I have years of different clinical and volunteer experience and I think strong letters of rec. I guess there was something on my application they just didn't like :/ Hoping one of the other schools I applied to takes me!! Best of luck to everyone else still in the process!

I got an email last night that I'm being deferred to LEADS, declined for psych. Disappointing but I'm keeping my options open and going for it. Does the interview for LEADS also have a writing portion?

I think all interviews are wrapped up this week (?) I forgot to ask during mine when we would hear back! Does anyone know?
