UT AE-MSN 2019

Published

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a new thread for people applying to UT Austin's 2019 AE-MSN program, so I figured I'd start one :) I haven't had any correspondence from the school since submitting final material on October 1st. Anyone hear anything back from the school yet??

Hi, everyone! I am starting the AE-MSN program this June and am curious, what shoes did you find the best luck with in being compliant? I am having the hardest time finding a comfortable shoe that also meets the requirements.

Hi everyone!

I'm not sure if anyone follows this thread still, but I was hoping to learn more about the LeaDS program from students.

I'm planning to apply for LeaDS for the 2021 school year. I have a background in healthcare IT and think that I might want to act as a liaison between clinical and IT staff or become an FNP in the future since preventative care is so important to me! My main questions are:

  • What have you thought of the LeaDS program so far or from students who have been in the program?
  • Do you think the LeaDS program (or the AE-MSN program in general) would be a good fit for partnering with healthcare IT or becoming an NP in the future?

@astep13 I am currently in the program and Leads would likely be a great fit for you and what your future aspirations are. In the Leads program you get the three core courses you need to become an NP with is Assessment, Advanced Patho, and Advanced pharm. Therefore once you were done with the MSN and have some nursing experience you will be able to easily get a cert in FNP by just completing the 12months of clinical rotations. I think overall the program would suite you well so definitely consider applying.

Can anyone provide interview questions they were asked? I was invited for an interview for LEADs and want to prepare as much as possible
