UT AE-MSN 2019

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a new thread for people applying to UT Austin's 2019 AE-MSN program, so I figured I'd start one :) I haven't had any correspondence from the school since submitting final material on October 1st. Anyone hear anything back from the school yet??

Hey guys just because I know I was dying for info last year I heard on Tuesday from a professor that the professors are currently reviewing files and are trying to hurry to have them done soon. Apparently there was over 500 applicants again this year similar to last year so hang in there I expect interview notices will likely be going out soon!

500?! Oh my. I didn’t know it was that high. Thank you for the update!

and I just got even more nervous....I guess we will hear next week. A rejection would not make for a very happy Thanksgiving ?

Anyone heard anything? I had a feeling we might hear today and I have been nervous all day! The suspense is killing me!!

Can anyone share their experiences from interviewing for the AG- CNS interview? Did they ask any questions that caught you off guard? Any insight would be incredible. Thanks in advance!

First off, congrats to those who got into the program and I hope ya’ll are active enough to answer some of my questions lol! I just read a reply on a chiropractor who got denied for the PMHNP program, then I feel like I will get fried upon applying cause my credentials are no where near that. To those who did get into the program, what were your stats and what advice would you give? Anything helps!

Hi I'm in CNS track too and my interview was pretty straightforward. It was individual, not group. I heard some of my classmates got a board of 2-3 interviewers but I only had one person. It was at SON campus, real quick like 30 mins. It was mostly why u chose nursing, what's ur plan in 5 years, how u handled stress, to see any of your characteristics fits the track u applied for. I think it's more like a job interview tbh. So just be confident and remember to smile ?. Most of the interviewers are super nice! So u should be fine. Hope it helps!
