Ok so I am extremely frustrated!!!! I still haven't heard back from USF and when I call they say my file is still under review! I'm losing patience and getting extremely anxious!! Has anyone else heard back from them besides the few here that got a confirmation that they are accepted? Anyone heard back that they got in or did not get in since?? I don't know what is taking so long! Am I not accepted and they are not allowed to tell me over the phone and is waiting to send out my rejection letter next month? I don't get it. I would love to know if anyone else has heard anything from them....

so heres what i've heard:

the head of the nursing school has a blog and on it she said you will get your reply 'on or around march 26' so if u havent gotten it yet (i havent) itll prob come trmw. apparently there was a little prob wiht my app so i called and sent email etc and i head that i would 'have a reply by the end of the month' so i think if u dont have one by april 1st then somethings wrong-until then i'm checking my email every 5 seconds!!!

rayhay thank you!!!! haha I'm chencking my email ALL the time as well as call them EVERY week!!! I'd call everyday, but I'm scared they would know it's me again and reject me because I'm stocking the school! lol

Okay so let's hope we hear by tomorrow....this wait is painful. I don't know how much longer I can hold on to my sanity between calling them weekly, incessantly checking my email, and running to my mail box everyday and night. The waiting game is getting old and my frustration is replacing any excitement I had. Please let me know if you hear from them tomorrow!

I did not get any Email. Never did in fact. I got a letter in the mail with a phone call a couple days before that that said I was in, though I do have some pre-reqs to finish up. Let me know if you have any questions and I can help you out. Cheers

hollownurse thank you for your reply. when did you get the phone call from them? also do you mind me asking how much prereq you completed when you sent the transcript in? what was your GPA and what prior degree, medical experience you might have? Thank you sooo much! I should know what my odds are and what I need to do if I have to reapply again.

Hi all,

For anyone still waiting on USF.... I have not gotten any response either. I contacted someone Wednesday and he said they had been waiting for more welcome packet materials. Lol. Anyway, I'm a 3.85 gpa transfer student, with hospital hours & international healthcare work. I didn't take much time on the essay as I should have, so maybe that nixed my chances. Plus im out of state. I got in to Univ of Portland, but the financial aid wasn't great so I don't know if ill go.

Anyway, I will post if I get a rejection ir acceptance from USF... :idea:

I haven't either!!!!!!!!!!!!! so so so so so so so lame!!!!! I'm gonna hold off until the first of april before I call again.....will let you know as soon as I hear from them. Keep me posted as well please!

lexabob - I also applied to U of Portland but I didn't get in. I got waitlisted at 32. I also don't think I did as well as i could of for the usf essay. wish I would of put more thought into it now. My GPA is slightly lower than yours and I also have a little bit of volunteer experience at the hospital. I've also finished a bunch of core classes that is in the first two semesters of USF. I would think that would help me. But I think maybe my essay and me being an out of state student is not to my advantage. Maybe that's why we haven't heard back. They must go through out of states students last......? Also what is your first choice of schools? would you go to USF over UP?

Hi Guys

I'll try to answer some questions here (sorry I've been checking the wrong forum). At any rate, I've got a MA with a gpa of 3.78, about 6 months of international public health volunteer experience in East and West Africa and am from the Midwest and do not live in SF. I am not done with pre-reqs (I have almost finished physiology but not the lab part so that might not be good). I have no nursing classes experience. I speak two other languages conversantly and am 32 years old. I think I had a pretty good essay, as I was an English Major (BA and MA). I will send it to you if you PM me for an example if you'd like to see it. (I've lived abroad a lot and have some neat things I've done.) Hope that helps a little. Im sure there are more of you out there with more volunteer time than me. I got a phone call from them validating acceptance on 24th or 25 perhaps. (I'm living abroad right now, so I may be off a day or so.) (Please if you call USF don't mention me or my handle because it's close to my name and I don't want to cause any trouble--i.e. massive phone calls). I applied for the CNL track in ME. Cheers
