USF- University of San Francisco- Applied? Considering?

Published

Hello!

Has any one applied to USF or is considering this school for Spring 2010 or Fall 2010? I am going to apply in October, so I am very anxious for October to arrive!

:D

ok so I called the school today and they transferred me over to someone that could tell me what is going on because apparently the letters of acceptance were sent 3 weeks ago and denial letters were sent 10 days ago. The lady told me that since I haven't received a letter yet it means that I have not gotten rejected or accepted yet and that in 2 weeks I should get a letter telling me about my options!! What does that mean I wonder!? I guess the good news is that since we haven't gotten a letter it means we still have a chance I guess?!

I called USF today and got the same response. I was encouraged when the USF admissions lady said no news is good news at this point!

I have yet to hear back too! No news is good news?!? Not rejected but not accepted, with options? Interesting. Two more weeks we must wait! I can't take it!

I guess I'll take two more weeks of waiting if it means better news! :)

I wonder what it means though?! what does she mean options?! I was thinking we must be waitlisted...but if you're waitlisted you don't really have an option! Hopefully they offer us something like waitlisted for this term or entry into the Spring term!! or entry into the MSN program now--haha. that would make me happy! Ah can't wait to hear so I know exactly what is going on!!!

A lady in records told me today that no decision has been made on my app (4/7, still?)....

lexabab -- I got that for a few weeks too when everyone was hearing back mid march. hmmmm but on monday I got transferred from records to "someone who can better answer your questions" I think that's good news though....it means you're not rejected.

wow so I just checked my email and what was waiting for me there? a rejection email from SF. that was unexpected considering I talked to someone last week that told me otherwise....

so it's official, SF is not an option for me anymore. good luck to everyone else waiting....hope you hear better news than me. I have a few other schools that I'm waiting on now....maybe I'll have better luck there.

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in applying to the Accelerated BSN program at USF. I can't find any information about it on their website. Can someone direct me?

le john---I don't see an Accelerated BSN program for USF. Maybe call them and ask about it....I'm sure they'd be happy to help you. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure USF only has a second degree option for people with a bachelors already. It's believe it's 2 years. I might be wrong but that's how it was last time I checked.

Thank you for the info. you two. Yes, I do have my bachelors already, which is why I'm interested in the absn program at USF. I tried calling, but I guess the office was closed (although their automatic message said they should be open =)). Will try again next Monday.

It is not an ABSN program. Samuel Merritt has an ABSN program which lasts 12 months. The second-degree BSN for USF is about 2-3 years, which is strange because you can complete their Master's Entry program in two years.
