Hi fellow soon-to-be-hopefully nurses! I recently applied to USF's MSN-CNL for non-nurses. I am ecstatic about this program! Any fellow applicants in the anxiously waiting boat?!?
@trixiehvl Hey! So my undergrad GPA was a 3.9 and my prereq was a 4.0. I am in the military in a completely unrelated career field so I made sure that I did as much healthcare related volunteer work as I could throughout my time in the service. I became a CPR instructor and taught classes on topics such as suicide prevention for example. I was also fortunate enough to get promoted during my time to the point where I oversaw 35 employees so I included that since it definitely pertains to leadership. I also included homeless shelter volunteer work and the humanitarian work I did while I was overseas. As far as my personal statement goes, I wanted to convey my passion for healthcare, nursing and this CNL program. I focused less on what I accomplished (since it was in my resume) and instead focused on who I am as a person emphasizing my passion for this field and desire to care for other individuals.
I hope this helps! Keep trying and I promise it will pay off!!
Do we actually have an orientation....? The only information I've found about it is saying it's on the 15th in SF....which obviously wouldn't make sense for us....
Has anyone else found anything different? (BTW...all of our stuff is on the portal now, in case you want to check it out ) :-)

I only have IG, lol but I'll make a fb for this! And I'm not too sure yet, I'm going to look at past threads to see how students financed themselves. All I know is that I'm going to take out a **** ton of loans! Also, I still can't believe I got in! I won't believe it until the admissions mail comes in!
