USF MSN-CNL, Orange County, non-nurse Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi fellow soon-to-be-hopefully nurses! I recently applied to USF's MSN-CNL for non-nurses. I am ecstatic about this program! Any fellow applicants in the anxiously waiting boat?!?

@rcarney I applied, too! Do you know when we will hear back? I visited the website today but the non nurse application details links to the MSN for RN info. Do you think it was June 1?

Hi all! @rcarney, nice to see you're applying here too (as I remember you also posted on the MSMU thread too)!

I think last year applicants started hearing beginning of June....? But who knows! I feel like they change things every year! I wish there was an interview portion.

Hello Everyone! :)

I applied as well. Definitely wish there were an interview portion. It's really difficult to talk about yourself in a two page paper.

Good luck friends!

If anyone hears anything, please post on this thread :-)

Hi! I sure did and Math test is TOMORROW! Gotta love fractions... In this competitive nursing state, my goal is to get in and get started! I really cannot wait. Each day I think, alright, working towards the goal, working towards the goal... :)

Totally agree! I'm only applying to MSMU and USF this year, as I still have a couple pre-reqs in progress. If I don't get into either of those, then I'll apply to more next year! What other schools are you applying to?

Yay to everyone! I hear we hear back mid-June but I think it all depends on the applicant pool. And yes, with no milestones in the application process these days move slowly...

MSMU, USF- Orange, Concordia Irvine and Azusa! These are my top 4, I will be applying to more as well, but I am cautiously optimistic something positive will come from this round :) I have been working towards this career change since July 2014. This application period is surreal and also nerve wrecking. I am so dying to get started!

Hi Everyone! :)

I applied for this coming Fall as well! I read the FAQs on the website and I believe it said applicants usually hear 8-10 weeks after the deadline. That would mean we should hear some time in June. Either way, I am still crazy and check the website daily with hopes that for some reason a decision is already made. The uncertainty kills for sure. Good luck everyone!

@rcarney - oh nice, those are all great schools!! I'm cautiously optimistic as well, I'd love either of the two programs! I would think me being a guy would help too, since they're wanting more men to join the field....but who knows!

Hey Everyone! I'm happy to have found this group! I've been looking and couldn't find anything! Best of luck to all of us. Just to double check, the application deadline was April 15, which means we should hear something back around mid-June?
