Hi fellow soon-to-be-hopefully nurses! I recently applied to USF's MSN-CNL for non-nurses. I am ecstatic about this program! Any fellow applicants in the anxiously waiting boat?!?
Hi @bernadizzle ,
Thanks for the advice! How did you find out you were on the waitlist? And do you know about how many people they put on the waitlist? Is there an order to the waitlist and they let you know if you don't make it off?
Any advice you could give as I'm preparing to be on the waitlist would be helpful!
I had seen that people were getting phone calls (btw phone calls were given over the course of 2 days, not sure if it'll be the same with OC, but that happened with SF), and then a few days later I got a letter in the mail. They give no number, and they pretty much leave you in the dark. I cancelled my waitlist application so I can apply this time to OC.
*EDIT: THE LETTER EVEN SAYS THERE'S NO NUMBER ASSIGNED
Well gotta love technology....my phone JUST told me I have a voicemail. No missed call. Granted, I'm in an area with bad cell service, but still.
She didn't say if I was accepted or waitlisted, just asked me to call her back. She said she would be leaving the office at 3 p.m. today (which obviously I received the voicemail after 3 p.m.) and said she would call me back tomorrow if we missed each other.
I called her back and left her a voicemail......
I'm not trying to jinx it...but do you think this means I'm in??? Or do they call for waitlist too??

Hey everyone.... I got a phone call saying I've been admitted....
I just want to say, this is my second time applying to USF. I remember feeling disappointed and beyond miserable when I was waitlisted the first time.... All I can say is DONT GIVE UP. I had to retake a few classes, and granted I have experience in healthcare, I've also been teaching high school math for 2 years, and I'm involved with numerous political groups and whatnot. I'm at the gym and can't leave the best advice, but I do hope none of you give up. Nobody knows how hard you're working, trying to get to where you wanna be.
