Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?
I haven't received my admission letter in mail yet, so Erin sent me the electronic one. It says the Intent to Enroll and $500 deposit have to be submitted by Mar. 31st. And the information about orientation and registration will be sent out around April 3rd. Hope you will get great news soon!
Thanks, @md21887! You must be quite busy now as the program is so intense! I'm almost done with my drug test, background check and health records. Except for the orientation and registration for classes, is there anything else I need to complete before the program starts? Is it true that the orientation will be set one week before the first school day? I am planning to go back to my hometown next month, so I'd like to finish all the requirements asap. Thanks!

I wanted to help you guys on the waitlist and let you know what to expect. Whatever date it said in the letter (April 4th?) that they expect replies from admitted students, waitlisters started getting acceptance calls 1-2 days after that day. I know a few on allnurses said they got called and it was I think 1-2 days after that date on the letter. At the end of that week, those still on waitlist received an email from ingrid stating that the cohort is full, but we will remain on the waitlist until the start of classes. At that point, everyone had paid deposites and said they were attending. Basically, we were kept on the waitlist in case people dropped out or decided on another school, didn't pass drug screening/background check/failed to submit health requirements/couldn't pay for tuition/etc. I have heard of people getting called 2 weeks-2 days before classes begin. I hope this helps some of you with what to expect. Let me know if you have any questions because I literally just went through this last semester. Good luck everyone!
@glash it is probably coming in the mail but you could always call in a few days to double check!!
