USF MSN-CNL non-nurse spring 2017

Published

Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)

Well today sucks, I am so nervous!

Well today sucks, I am so nervous!

Yeah extreme nervousness is starting to kick in, but day isn't over yet!

BBPunjabi816 So true, I keep trying to tell myself that as my hopes and dreams slowly die a little inside.... hahaha

Hang in there you guys! I know it's difficult, but there is still plenty of time to find out.

What aks92 said .. it's only one day of admissions. I have a friend that got in but is going to decline her spot as she is going to another program.

I got denied today from USF, but have an interview with SFSU's MSN program in 2 wks. Hopefully that works out, otherwise I'll be reapplying very soon. Congrats to those who have been accepted! Good luck to those who are in the same boat as me or haven't heard anything yet!

So sorry to hear that @sfchick415 and hoping for the best with SFSU! I am glad you have another option!! When did you receive the denial? Early this morning or later in the day?

@aftonheistand Thanks, I am so relieved SFSU got back to me around the same time as USF or else I would have been super bummed out today. This is also my first round of applying, so it's a learning experience for sure.

I received an e-mail from USF at 8:05am to check my updated status on my login. Once I logged in, I had to click to view application decision. Then the sad letter was there,

" Thank you for your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. The Admission Evaluation and Selection Committee has met and reviewed your application for admission to the MSN program for the Spring 2017 semester. We regret to inform you that you have not been admitted to this year's class.

We appreciate your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

The Graduate School of Nursing continues to see a marked increase in the amount of applications received for a limited number of spaces in this accelerated degree program, and thus we have more qualified candidates than available spaces. This semester we have had to turn away many qualified applicants.

We appreciate your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. "

Best of luck to all!!

Anyone else hear anything this afternoon? Still waiting..

@aftonheistand I'm also still waiting to hear anything. Agonizing!

@amuz well at least we have each other! If we don't hear today it's going to be a hard weekendí ½í¸í ½í¸

@aftonheistand I totally agree and the fact we could be waiting weeks more is even worse! :yuck: Do you recall when people were notified of being put on he waitlist?
