USF ME-MSN Spring 2021

Published

*For University of San Francisco's Entry MSN program due Sept 1, starting in Spring*

I wanted to start a thread to talk about thoughts, updates on the app process, decisions, etc. I should be submitting my application in a week or so once I finish the essays!

Good luck to us all!

That's awesome!

I would love to know more about you guys! any of you want to share any medical experience? I feel this would be a great networking exercise.

Also, keep us posted if you guys hear back from USF. ?

That's a great idea! I have been a medical scribe for the past 3 years working along side 2 doctors. I have also been apart of a research study regarding telemedicine with a professor at my university and a local clinic.

I worked at an urgent care as a front desk coordinator and have volunteer experience at a hospital in Burbank, CA. I just recently switched over to a physical therapist office because my hours at urgent care changed and they didn't work for me. T_T I'm worried that might be less relevant experience but I applied when I was still at the urgent care. hbu?

Hi!
I did my undergraduate degree in public health so I have a lot of volunteer experience working with TB fundraisers and community health programs. I did a year long internship with my University’s Adaptive Athletics Department which was more PT based but I assisted disabled athletes in practices and workouts. Anxiously waiting to hear back from OC and hopefully get to meet you all!

Nice to meet all of you!

I did my undergrad in Kinesiology. I've been a phlebotomist and recently a CNA. Still debating if I should do an LVN program but I think that'll be my plan B in case they deny me. /: This is my second time applying to USF. Great school but very competitive.

Hi all,

Has anyone received an update in regards to acceptances? It's approaching 2 months since the deadline and I'm considering choosing another option if we are not given an update by the end of the week.

I haven’t received anything either. Hopefully we hear back this week!

I haven't heard anything yet either. I called graduate office and she said that they haven't released decisions. She said it might be sometime this week or next week. She also said we will get an email once the decisions have been released. I'm so nervous! Wishing everyone good luck!

Thanks for the updates!

Hey guys! I know how frustrating the wait can be. Been there, done that. Last cohort, it took exactly 10 weeks before they got their letters of acceptance. When I applied we got ours exactly 9 weeks. So, any day now for y’all,

I’m from cohort 9 and I hope to meet you guys soon and good luck!
