USF Fall 2015 Applicants

Has anyone applied to the USF (University of South Florida) Fall 2015 NP track? I applied for Adult-Gero and haven't heard back yet. My SOAR account says "committee." Just trying to connect with some other USF hopefuls out there!

On a side note, has anyone attended this program and how did you feel about it? Are most of the classes offered after 4-5 pm? Are a lot of classes online?

Any input would be appreciated!

Well I've been selected as an alternate. So I still don't have a firm answer after MONTHS of waiting! I'm hoping they put the alternates in some ordered list so I at least have an idea if there's any chance of getting in. Good luck, fellow alternates!

I am also still waiting. This is borderline ridiculous. My manager is losing her patience and wants to know my upcoming availability and the only response that I can give is "I don't know". Has anyone heard anything recently? thanks

I got a SOAR email on June 9th saying I'm an alternate. I haven't heard anything else since then. However, I know the admissions rep is currently out of the office on emergency medical leave.

The last email that I received was the general one that was apologizing for the delay. I believe it was the last week in may, but since then...nothing. I even called the school of nursing and someone told me that I should find out by the end of June which is next week. No one mentioned anything about the rep being on leave. Sorry to say, but I am truly frustrated and disappointed with the way this admission process has been handled.

I've heard from former grads that say their application process was nothing like this, so I'm not sure what happened. According to one email, they were switching back to their old system because of the problems during this application cycle (whatever that means....). I'm sorry you haven't heard anything yet. I'm just as frustrated as an alternate, because they said they haven't put the list in any sort of order yet so I could be #2 or #102...I'd like to have some idea of what my future holds, just like you.

I had not heard anything good or bad back from USF until I finally e-mailed someone asking what was the deal. I was told I was wait-listed...Then I finally received an acceptance letter two days ago.

Same thing here. I called to speak to someone and was told that I am 1/10 that is still waiting for a decision even though I was told that decision were suppose to be finalized two weeks ago. At this point, I am over this entire program.

I found out I was accepted! I think now seats will open up if anyone who is accepted declines. I think the cutoff date for everyone who is already accepted is July 31, so some people may still hear in the first week or Aug! Good luck everyone!
