  1. Any NPs start from LPN?

Hi, I started as an LPN in 2010; I worked full time and completed a bridge to RN program in 2012; I worked for a year, then completed my BSN with Western Governor's University in 2014 (it took me 11 months, working full time and with 3 kids, a husban...
  2. No, it is hybrid; I've had to spend as many as 2 days a week on campus. I'm entering my clinical rotations in January, so I'll have class one day a week and have to average about 20 hours a week in clinicals.
  3. Anyone on the East Coast have a BSN from WGU?

I'm in Florida and took my WGU BSN to an acute care nurse practitioner program. I love WGU!
  4. I did my BSN with WGU and can tell you the webcam during testing is no big deal. You don't see anyone (but they see you) and after a while, you don't even notice the camera anymore. You can also opt to go to a local community college or testing cente...
  5. I did not have any of the arts/humanities as part of my ASN, so I took them as part of my BSN with WGU. The courses were relatively easy and didn't add much time overall. Best of luck!
  6. I used my nurse manager at work, an NP I work with an a regular basis, and my preceptor from when I first came to the CVOR. When my package went before the board, they requested a nursing instructor's evaluation, so I contacted my favorite instructor...
  7. See my comments in your original post above
  8. I would contact your course mentor for guidance. They are there to help you through and were an invaluable resource to me! One of my coworkers now is a course mentor and says he can't stress enough how important it is to get in contact when you need ...
  9. I brought a 4.0 to WGU; I don't know how USF figured my total GPA, factoring in my 3.0 (they said they "convert it" but I'm not sure what that means). USF required a 3.0 minimum. I'm not sure how each school weighs out scores from ASNs vs BSNs; every...
  10. I don't think it really had an effect. I called USF to ask about how it would work, and they said they have a lot of people with WGU degrees and they just "convert" your score (whatever that means). Regardless, I got in!
  11. RN to BSN at WGU?

I took my WGU BSN to USF Tampa's Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program!
  12. RN to BSN at WGU?

RE: First, is there anyone here that has completed the RN to BSN at WGU? I finished mine summer of 2014 and just got accepted to NP school. How exactly does it work (is there any course work to help you prepare)? [COLOR=#000000]You are given everyt...
  13. I graduated with my BSN from WGU during the Summer of 2014 and just got accepted to the University of South Florida's Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Feel free to ask my anything about WGU and how it works.
  14. USF Fall 2015 Applicants

I made the cut! I moved from the alternate list to the accepted list yesterday! Good luck everyone!
  15. USF Fall 2015 Applicants

I've heard from former grads that say their application process was nothing like this, so I'm not sure what happened. According to one email, they were switching back to their old system because of the problems during this application cycle (whatever...
