USF Fall 2015 Applicants

Has anyone applied to the USF (University of South Florida) Fall 2015 NP track? I applied for Adult-Gero and haven't heard back yet. My SOAR account says "committee." Just trying to connect with some other USF hopefuls out there!

On a side note, has anyone attended this program and how did you feel about it? Are most of the classes offered after 4-5 pm? Are a lot of classes online?

Any input would be appreciated!

Hello,

I am in the process of applying to NP schools, and was interested in USF's FNP program for Fall of 2016. I currently work in Public Health in Jacksonville, but I have previous experience in Critical Care. I was wondering how current students are liking the program so far, and what were your GPA's and interviews like. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i am in the acute care program. I had a 3.7 gpa and I did a accelerated program for bsn. I worked 2yrs in a neurosx step down unit as a nurse in PA and moved down here when I started school. I also worked in a hospital since I was 18. I didn't not have an interview. So I don't know anything about it. I did submit my application the week it opened. The program so far is great! You have an option to take classes online or on campus.

Hi Mallugirl55,

How are the tests and writing assignments? Is there an equal balance between the two? Also, how many classes can you take online, and do you have to find your own preceptors? My GPA should end up being a 3.3 after I finish by RN-BSN program at FAU this December. It's not the best, but I hope that the admissions office will take into account my experience (6yrs) and personal statement.
