USF Fall 2015 Applicants

I applied to the Fall FNP program and my status still says "applied". They sent out an email stating it can take up to 2 months to get and answer due to computer issues. I remembered I visited their info session in 2008 and they were having issues/program changes, then I visited in 2012 and they were having issues/changes and now I was ready and applied and the issues/changes are still there. I decided to proceed with the acceptance I received from one of the other schools I applied to. Good luck to all who are still waiting on their acceptance letters. I was very disappointed that the trend had not changed over the years...

VickyCS 2001 was your application missing any of the items? I don't think it should still say "applied" in SOAR. It should have gone to the committee by now. I would call to double check that all of your documents were received.

I applied for the Fall 2015 FNP Program as well. Mine also still says committee. I have a friend who is attending the previous program start and he goes all day on Wednesday every week. Thats all I know. :/

Thanks for the info JennaeDRN! I wonder if there are also some classes offered online. Is your friend in the FNP track?

To all who applied to the FNP track, I hear it is VERY competitive so that might be why it is taking longer to hear back. I'm not sure if everyone has to interview or if some applicants just get accepted/denied. Does anyone know anything about the interview process?

I am not sure about any online classes but I know he does physically go once a week. Has anyone else gotten an interview? My status was not changed until the beginning of April so wasn't sure where in line I was.

Thanks VickyCS 2001. I just found out I got an interview! Regardless, it will be after the deadline of the other program I was accepted into, but I am still going to go for it with USF since it is my top choice. Has anyone else gotten an interview or better yet, been through an interview with USF? Any feedback would be appreciated, as I am now a nervous wreck!

I had my interview today and was told they'd make final decisions within the next two weeks. Heard anything yet?

coopsy, I still haven't heard anything either. I had my interview 2 weeks ago now. I did receive notification in SOAR that I should hear "no later than the end of May," but they also said 4-6 weeks back in March, and never followed through. This is so frustrating! I hope they don't push this till June or July - I am a nervous wreck!

Still nothing here. I think we should hear by Friday, as the program director wanted to complete all interviews by then. Hopefully we'll hear soon...this waiting is the worst!
