I know I am jumping on this topic early but is anyone else excited about the upcoming ability to apply to USF? Lets get to know each other! Share a little about yourself. We can also talk about the application process, writing sample, gpa, facts/things you have heard, concerns/thoughts, other schools your applying, ect.
Lets get a conversation going! Go bulls!!
From what I was told, it will take you an additional 5 semesters to do the Rn to BSN portion being that you cannot jump ahead with the classes.I wonder how long it would take me to complete the BSN portion after i earn the ADN. I have an AA and a BS. I hope no more than three semesters.
You may be able to find an online school that will do it in less time.
@todd1977, asked hubby and he said he belived it was approx 4-5 semesters but was not entirely sure. He plans to attend USF for his BSN but wants to work approx 6 or so months before entering in to the program (He's not rushing as he wants to take "it" all in).
I am in the same boat as you, I have a BS and applied for the Accelerated BSN. If the Accelerated BSN at USF doesn't work out I think I will opt for HCC for the ASN/RN and then go to USF for the RN to MSN program. Did you by chance look into this option?

Hi MorganB29,
Originally, I applied to both upper division and second degree, despite already having a bachelors degree. I was informed I would only be considered for the second degree, but they still had my upper division application active. They responded and denied my upper division application and attached that information I provided, along with tips for the writing example, etc. They still have not released the admission decisions for the second degree applications, at least for mine.
