  1. Unfortunately Delray is a fairly small town but there should be plenty of opportunity. There are quite a few hospitals in a commutable distance in the area. I would suggest looking into different agencies or apply for staff jobs in the area if you're going to stay permnantly.
  2. Being a UNF student has absolutely nothing to do with getting into the nursing program. I believe maybe 3 of 36 in my cohort were Unf students prior.
  3. It's okay to be nervous! Remember it's a group interview and everyone is nervous, the interviewers expect it. Try and get to know you're group members and their names while you wait and you will feel more comfortable.
  4. Hi! I was a non unf student before starting at UNF nursing school this summer and also wasn't able to go to the workshop. My suggestion for preparation is Google questions often asked in nursing school interviews, think of appropriate answers for most all the questions then practice practice practice on family and friends. Most important of all, believe in yourself! Best of luck 😊
  5. Hi guys! congrats to those getting interviews. If you live in the area, you should definitely consider attending the interview workshop on June 6th. There will be a lot of first semester students there including myself who just went through the same process ya'll are doing now.
  6. Hi, I can clarify this for you. You are automatically considered for both. So depending on your ranking after interviews you will be offered APL, RPL, waitlist or denied. Hope this helps!
  7. I did as well and I know of 3 other people in my program who denied as well. Good luck everyone!
  8. Don't count yourself out! My pre reqs was a 3.67 and TEAS was a 79.3. That's just the average, there are always people above and below that. Obviously it's totally up to you!
  9. Hi! I was just checking this out and saw you applied to UNF for fall. I have about the same stats as you. I applied for both unf and fgcu and was accepted in both programs. I chose UNF, so if you have any questions let me know! I have a feeling you will get in! Good luck
  10. I would Google questions that are normally asked in a nursing school interview. Practice with family or friends, I had interviewed for jobs before so it wasn't as much of an issue for me. It's also a group interview and not quite as nerve wracking for me.
  11. I don't think they do. You could always ask on Soar discussion board or call. I know UNF doesn't have that requirement.
  12. They require a deposit?!
  13. Hi! I was accepted for this summer. Your stats are more than enough to get in. I had a 3.7 pre reqs GPA and 337 on TEAS. Rememeber, the interview is 50% of entrance.
  14. Are you on the fb group yet?! I'll say hi :)
  15. It is, however you have summers off except obviously if you start in the Summer. Say you got accepted for this summer, you would have next summer off so you would graduate in May 2017.
