Hello!
I am applying for the Fall 2015 smester in the Second Degree sequence and I wanted to see who is out there that can give me some advice or commiserate!
I am so nervous about my essay... Their instructions are slightly vague and I am unsure of how to capture their attention and convey my passion for nursing.
Do you think I will get in with 2 years CNA experience as a school "nurse" and a 3.6 pre-req GPA?
Thanks in advance for your responses!
Hey guys!!! I was following your thread from the beginning. Was happy for those who got accepted.
I'm planning to apply for Fall 2016 tomorrow, when app will be open tomorrow.
I know you are very busy with school, but could you please give some insight, what do you like, what don't, advise. TIA.
taybray27, did you get in??? I am concerned about interview, but I think it's better than essay.
Some insight for you: this program is a kick in the pants! It is pretty frustrating at times due to a lack of organization and very high expectations without enough guidance. With that being said, it is possible to thrive if you cohere with team members and lean on one another. I've made some very good lifelong friends in this program. It's a very fast track and you would surprised how much you learn and how skilled you become.
Guys, can anyone explain to me what's the difference between Upper division and Accelerated 2nd degree. The only difference i see is for upper you don't need bachelor's. What about length of the program, acceptance rate (I saw you were talking about there are more accepted students to Upper division than accelerated). Does it make sense to apply for both to increase chances?

Yes, the essay has been completely eliminated. I feel like this could help me but also hurt me. If I receive an interview, I think I have a good chance of getting in because I'm really good with face to face contact over writing! The problem is, I'm worried that I will not get an interview. My science and overall GPA's are both at a 3.6.... Also USF office of admissions is really giving me the runaround and taking forever to admit me. Right now it's just a waiting game and it's killing me! Just hoping that the other applicants this semester don't all have stellar GPA's so I can get a chance to prove myself..
