USF Accelerated BSN Fall 2015!

Published

Hello!

I am applying for the Fall 2015 smester in the Second Degree sequence and I wanted to see who is out there that can give me some advice or commiserate!

I am so nervous about my essay... Their instructions are slightly vague and I am unsure of how to capture their attention and convey my passion for nursing.

Do you think I will get in with 2 years CNA experience as a school "nurse" and a 3.6 pre-req GPA?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Welcome Reanna ! Hope to meet you at orientation!

Hey guys. I got accepted into 2nd Bach for summer 2015 and dropped the first week b/c I was scared sh*tless to put it lightly. I did a lot of soul searching and praying and reapplied for the fall and got in again, miraculously. So I will be joining you guys. I at least know what happens the first week and what to expect, so I can help there. Thought I'd introduce myself to everyone as early as possible!

P.S. for those who were accepted as alternates - i was accepted as an alternate for summer and received admissions 4 days later.

Hi Tardersauce, congratulations! I am an alternate for this round. Can I ask if you were an alternate for this batch or the summer and did 4 days include the weekend? I still haven't heard anything and it's driving me crazy lol!

I just realized you already said summer. Like I said I'm going crazy!

Welcome, Tardersauce! So excited to meet you. We can have each other's backs! You can do it!

Hello Friends....thank you MegGusta.....I can't believe I'm trying this a second time - I feel like a jerk for dropping this summer, but everything happens for a reason! God is good. And dkost...I believe I found out in the summer that I was an alternate on a Tuesday and my status was changed to accepted that Friday. I am not sure how long the alternate list is....but like others were saying, some are accepted into other schools, so they give up their admissions, or a number of things can happen to cause ppl to drop. There are still about 4 weeks left until the first orientation. They can change your status up until that date, as far as I know. The orientation is where they will tell you your clinical assignment, you will try on and order scrubs and lab coats, and register for classes. You will meet your clinical group as well. The second orientation they go into detail about the software that we are required to use - ATI, ProjectNurse, Shadow Health, SafeMedicate, etc. Hope this is helpful.

Hello, I will be joining you all! My name is Mika. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
