USF ABSN 2017

Published

Hi! Anyone applying for USF (University of South Florida) ABSN for 2017? I can't seem to find anyone!

Hello all! Anybody still have to take CPR Course? I've looked through the courses offered by the American Heart Association.

From what I can find, HCC Ybor offers it for $49, $35 if you are an HCC Student (you need to email them for the promo code before you pay). Hope it helps!

Hey guys!! I was also accepted into the program and I must say I'm super excited. I've been looking for apartments in the area and I'm having a hard time finding one. If anyone needs a roommate, let me know! Also does anyone know if a Facebook group has been made for our cohort?

I looked at the Social and the rates seemed pretty good, but may still look around. A lot of them didn't have units open for summer, but possible sub leases.

I know, that is the tough part of starting in the summer. Might have to get a sublet until August and then do a 12 month lease til next August. I am going down to Tampa on Friday to look at some places. I am going to look at The Province, 4050 Lofts, The Social, and Campus Club. I know you looked at the Social. Did you check out any of the others I listed?

Hey guys! Anybody been able to access their usf health email yet?

I'm able to access my e-mail, but unable to set it as my "default". It's been more than 2 days now, so I might contact IT tomorrow if I don't hear anything.

I can't even access it yet. I type in the email to login and it says "Google doesn't recognize the email." How long did it take for you to be able to access it?

So I just called USF Health Tech support. He said the best way to login was to go through cloudmail.health.usf.edu . After resetting my password, I was able to finally access the usf health email. He also said it could take about a week before the usf health email shows up as a default option.

Thanks for posting the update!

I'm kind of bummed it looks like classes are pretty 8-5. Traffic around USF is AWFUL and from where I live it'll likely take me an hour each way :/.

For people not from the area, make sure you look into crime stats. There are a lot of not so great areas around USF.

Where do you live? I'm in Seminole so I'm going to have a killer commute - over an hour each way. I might end up getting an apartment closer to Tampa.

I live in Oldsmar.

I hear you, the commute might be rough, but I love where you live! We might move back that way after I graduate. I lived in St. Pete for a while until my husband moved down, then we had to relocate for his work (he has to be within a certain radius). I would move back to the area and commute because I love it so much! I can deal with anything for 16 months, but he's not ready to change jobs quite yet.

Also, depending on where we all get assigned clinicals (and the times), the commute might not be so bad. I guess I'll see how I feel about it when it starts to happen. I actually really dislike Tampa, so don't listen to me :p

Hey how is everyone's Castlebranch experience going? I just purchased it and almost instantly regretted not having started some of these things sooner....D:

Like what things do you regret not starting?
