Most of the cheap textbooks will be the older editions. I'm just starting my nursing classes & we were told that we'll be using the same books we bought this semester throughout the entire program. So I don't think many people sell their used textbooks right away-----unless they are kicked out of the program or something.
Here is a web site that will compare the prices......
Does amazon have anything? I think I heard someone say they got some there.........might be worth looking into. I bought and sold some of mine at the school I was going to. There was a bboard at the student union and near the bookstore with students selling books.
Did you try that?

I just listed a couple of soc books on amazon. That is where I origonally purchased them. You can search by ISBN. I got a good deal on these books and I hope to make the money back to use for next semester books...
also try search this forum under "books" We have had this discussion a few times so you will be able to get all of the other links.
Best wishes,

I have found for the most part that the new text a pretty close in prices. What you tend to get the deal on is no shipping and no taxes. That can save you a great deal off the cost of the books. Good luck in your search. Oh I almost forgot. Try looking at the publishers web site as well. Sometimes you can get a deal that way but be careful. One publisher charged more for their book than amazon.
I have purchased some older editions of the required textbooks and have found them to be very similar in content. This hasn't had any impact on my grades yet as the reading assignments are a supplement to our lecture notes. An edition that is one year older probably won't matter much when studying, for example, a disease process. This has saved me 100's of $$$. Good luck! :)

Hi,
Does anyone know of any good websites to find cheap used textbooks?
I've already looked at Half.com and they are cheap when you buy old versions but not new ones.
Thanks,
very poor nursing student:p
