USC New Grad summer 2011?

Hey! Just wondering if anyone else applied for USC's Versant program. I applied on the 13th (1 day before applications closed) for CVTICU & the abdominal tx ICU. Would be interested to see who else applied, and for which units. Good luck to us all :lol2:

The units I applied for were the hem/onc/bone marrow transplant and the abdominal transplant units. I assume we go dress business casual for this?

I also received my invitation to the brunch and I was planning to go business casual. I applied for the neuro icu as my first choice and the cvticu as my second. Looking forward to meeting everyone :)

i didnt hear anything from them either. I picked CTICU as my first choice and med surg as my 2nd choice. i wonder why i didnt receive anything yet... anyone else on the same boat? DOes this mean im on the wait list???

I am from the bay area and received the invite. Would anyone happen to know if it'll hurt me if I don't show up to the breakfast meet and greet?

In the email I received about the brunch, it said not to worry if you can't make it. The time of your interview will be set later on when HR phones you.

I received my invitation today for Friday's brunch. I picked CTICU as my 1rst choice. They said they were sorry to have send the invite out this late. they invited only 12 people for that unit. Hope some of those who were still waiting got invited!!!

I am from the bay area too and I'm wondering about the same thing. If I dont go, would it make it seem like im not interested? I AM VERY INTERESTED. I just dont know is it a good idea to fly/ drive there for a brunch... -_-

I just received that same email!!! Congrats! Do you have any idea how many people they are hiring for the CTICU? Are you from the LA area?

Honestly, I have no idea how many they are hiring for the whole cohort and per specialty. If anyone finds out, please let us know. I leave about 80 miles from USC, not sure yet if I will attend because I have to work on Friday. Do we have to reply to the brunch invitation e-mail?

Damn...now I get the rejection email. I wonder why they seem to select people who apply to CVICU so often?
