  1. Focus on the developmental milestones, know what age certain reflexes go away (moro reflex, pincer grasp, babinski reflex, etc). Also, know things like what is expected of a 6 month old vs 9 month old, etc. Good luck!
  2. Yup. 10 mins from my house in San Francisco!
  3. Exact same as me. I passed and so did you!!! I had over 20 SATA and guessed on everything. Thought I failed in 75 but got the good pop up.
  4. About a week ago
  5. I got my portfolio mailed back but never got a rejection letter. Maybe that was my informal rejection.
  6. Beautifully put. Congrats on being halfway done with your orientation! I start as a new grad on a cardiac unit next month. Nervous!
  7. I think that these are normal feelings to have before you start a new job. You are going to be fine!! Just curious, were you hired into the versant residency program starting in August?
  8. Thanks for offering to give me advice!! Yeah I did my preceptorship in the same cardiac unit so I know it's going to be really stressful! What kind of tips do you have? My private messages don't work. Thanks!!!!
  9. Hi Michelle, Sorry my private messages don't work. I haven't done nights but I've always been a night person. I usually don't get tired until around 3-4am and can sleep in very late. I'm the kind of person who can sleep through earthquakes LOL. Nights will definitely be an adjustment though. What kind of advice do you have? Thanks!! Congrats on your new job in the ICU! I am in San Francisco...extremely difficult for new grads to find jobs too.
  10. I passed the NCLEX and I start my job as a cardiac night nurse in August!!!! :heartbeat I thought I had failed the NCLEX and never imagined being offered a local job! I was prepared to move across the country and take the NCLEX a few times if I had to. This is unreal! Amazing how things work sometimes.
  11. I felt the same way!! I thought I did so bad that it shut off at 75. The Pearson vue trick works!! Let me know what happens!
  12. It works!!! I PASSED!!!!!!! My friend and I both took the NCLEX on Tuesday and it stopped at 75 questions. We were both crying because we were sure we failed. We tried the Pearson Vue Trick as soon as we got home and both got the good pop-up!! Three days later we see our names on the BRN! Good luck to everyone!!
  13. Congrats on your job! You will be great!!!!
  14. I wasn't asked about shock or given a drug calc either. I was asked about digoxin and lasix though
  15. It was crazy day for. Flew in to LA this morning, had my 20 minute interview and now I'm back at the airport. Good luck to everyone!
